I'm going to be buying my two boys four wheelers this year and was wondering who out there has bought some of the new machines out there.

The other thing I'm concerned about is what size to buy, 50cc or 90cc. The ages of my boys are 7 and 9. I think I could by the 90 and throttle it back until there ready to go faster.......Thoughts.

My next issue is how to carry all four of our machines and a travel trailer......But that's another post.

Suzuki LT 80 or Honda 90. Can't go wrong with either. Suzuki is 2 stroke Honda is a 4 stroke. Check out this months Dirt Wheels..they tested both.

The one I like the most was the E-Ton 90.

Anybody own an E-Ton?

We started out our 7yr old(boy) on a suzuki 50 when he was 4.. rode it till he was 6 1/2, this past summer he steped up to a lt-80, lot bigger/faster and makes dad nervous all over again...the 80 still does have a thottle limiter on it

There are many many to choose from now....
First where do you ride mostly....if it is dirt then 4 stroke is gonna be great. if you ride sand then you will need the 2 stroke. the 4stroke are not strong enough. unless you go bigger then the 90 on the honda.
Next take your boys and have them sit on em. how do they fit. are they comfortable. reach everything alright? I wouldnt recommend 50's they will outgrow too fast( especially boys). The major differences is braking systems. you should consider these. some are dual drum system where whether you use hand or foot, both brakes work together or separate disk sytem like on the atc's. Next you definatly ...and I cannot emphize this enough parts availabilty... can you upgrade as the boys skills grow. And their skills will grow quickly. Lt80 is a great canidate among others. Most of your 90 2strokers come with throttle limiter, exhaust limiter, carb limiter, each you can remove as they develope. Do all research....trust me I made this mistake. I didnt research. and less then 6mths my kids have basically outgrown our mini's. Plus I have no parts available to fix broke things or upgrade performance. DO NOT GO WITH the cheapest available..It could cost you more in the end. Very good luck Jen

Tips:

1. Look @ the KASEAS...theyre pretty much the alpha kiddy quads right now.

2. Go a little bit bigger than "minis".....the -children's- quads will bore them if they have a good sense of adventure.

I completely and 100% disagree.......sorry rob not fighting you, I own them you cant get parts and if you want them to run right look into upgrading immediatly...starting with mounting bolts.....I tell no lie. I replaced mine with the home depot special. Now the 90 kasea are bragging and have a right too that their little 90's can get up 60 mph, which they can but you will be replacing a-arms carb bigbore blah blah blah to get there.

for around $500-600 you could find 2 honda ATC-110 's in very good shape im sure(which is alot cheaper then quads) and it's a trike, plus there four stroke(more reliabile).

You could put a limiter on those 110s. I was riding a 185s when I was 11...NO LIMITER! :D
