How much should a 2-stroke smoke at idle, etc? It seems to run good (Tri-z). I haven't taken it out riding yet to see what it does when it's good and warmed up...

Also, can I use Avgas and oil in it without hurting anything? I run avgas in all my 4-strokes, so I just wanted to make sure it was ok for the Tri-Z.

Thanks!:D

Can't help you as far as the smoke goes. I would have to see it. If you are running a stock pipe and silencer, they usually cause the exhaust pulses to slow down so the smoke sorta hangs out in the silencer longer and makes it look worse than it really is. Av gas really won't make much of a difference in a two stroke. In a four stroke it can be advantageous because the lead in it helps to cushion the valves on the seats. But, most engines have hardend valve seats. Also, av gas is designed to be run at high altitude, low rpms, and in low compression engines, so it's really not that great for use in a high performance engine. Just run 93 unleaded and you won't have any problems unless you have really high compression. Then just use an octane booster to prevent detonation.

as far as smoek levelg oes---theres really no way to tell you how much it should smoke--ya know what i mean??

but all 2 strokes will always smoke---youre burning oil so its gotta smoke---personally I love smoke but its not always good! hehe

my 200x will smoke when you 1st start it up, if you go to about mid range, you can throw a lil smoke out. Now if you put a little lube or oil on the spark plug (to get it staretd after months of not moving)...then thzt baby will smoke it up for a couple minutes

lol jsut my little tidbit of useless info.
