Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum but I just bought a 1974 ATC 70 and want to know what my options are for widening the rear axle. Is there a direct swap or? Thanks.

welcome... there are no options for a wider axle on a 70,,, you will have to go with wheel spacers,,, here is a set of simple made ones i pulled off a 70 i bought,, they are ok for kids,, not heavy enough for us big kids though,,, they are pretty easy to make with a little skill,,,

Thanks Kasey, I should be able to build some spacers big enough for myself.

the only problem then is,,, you will end up bending the hubs,,, they aren't very tough,,, unless you not a real big guy,, or real rough on the little trike,,,,

Welcome rub!
What part of Spokane are you in?
I was just there Wednesday, Thursday. I go up every couple weeks, doing deliveries. I usually stay there on Argonne.
How much snow you got?? We got enough to cover the ground here in Eugene. :ugh:

I'm actually staying in Coeur d'Alene right now and work out in Spokane at Fairchild AFB. We had maybe almost an inch of snow yesterday and this morning we have some more coming in. Eugene is great country down there. My wife and I eventually would like to move down that way.

Hey Kasey, do they make any stronger hubs I can use. I'm about 185 and intend to be kind of rough on my 70 so I want a wider stance but at the same time don't want to go through hubs every month or so. Is there another stock axle off somthing else that would be wider and still have it's strength that is a direct bolt in? Some modification will not be too bad.

Thanks for the warm welcome all.
