View Full Version : 88cc bigbore kits-any feedback?
Been thinking of turning my 85 into a slight hotrod. Looking into this 88cc bigbore kit seems like a decent way to get a bit more power out of em, for some reason the stockers seem to have trouble moving me around, I mean I'm only 250 lbs:doh: Anyways, has anybody ran these?? Quality parts??? What did you think of the power difference?

From almost everything I've read it is worth to just buy an aftermarket Lifan engine instead of trying to squeeze more cc out of that 70 engine. For the same price you buy the 88cc kit you can buy a brand new 125cc lifan engine from ebay and they make a pretty good product. That's what i've decided to do with mine anyway.

I have 1 of each. 1 trike with a stock motor and 1 trike with a 110cc Loncin motor with manual clutch and electric start. I paid 265.00 for the Loncin and it included everything except for the harness and the air cleaner. By far, I like the aftermarket motor better. I'm 200 lbs and it hauls me around just fine. The stock motor wasn't designed for a 200lb adult. Do the aftermerket motor for sure. I have the wiring diagram for both setups electric start/non electric start.
