I finally finished my daughters 110. Seems to run pretty good, isn't very pretty with that old cracked plastic but what the heck.

My question is in the sub transmission. I have 4 forward gears in low range, but when I switch to high range, It stays in neutral. Well, not really...it shifts and all, but not into a gear. I rebuilt the top end of this machine, but didn't do anything else as far as the bottom end or transmission are concerned.

Is something missing or damaged? Or is there a trick to changing "ranges"?

Thanks for any help/advice guys. By the way, I picked up an '02 250R while the board was down last month...what a blast! :headbang:

make sure that the Hi/lo lever is pushed all the towards the gear you want. I have one that is a pain to get into hi.

i have a 90, and its the same basic tranny, mine goes in hi just fine, but it wont shift into gears in low, the problem with mine is that there is 2 gears in the b ox that is right above the shifting knob for high and low, the smaller gear is stripped out, i have the parts to fix it, just havent got around to it as it doesnt et rode much. im geussing that the same thing is wrong with yours, only in reverse, with the big gear stripped.

Your not missing much with the loss of high gear. I had a 110 when I was a younger and never used high. High may work better on the street but that's not what ATC's are for.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

This trike is for my daughters to learn to ride on, so it doesn't really bother me one bit that it's stuck in low range! But it is pretty slow, and when they get enough practice in, they'll likely want high range.

I taught her to ride my 200s, which was a mistake, because it shifts opposite as the 110! The 110 is easier for her to shift, and has a lighter smoother throttle. What a great little beginner trike!
