best piston for 85 250r, where to get it??

what is the best quality piston for hard riding on my 85 250r? also what is the best parts source?

I run weisco on my 4-strokes. But i have heard people having some trouble breaking them in on two strokes. I guess they are a little touchy to break in but i think any piston is on a two stroke.

Chris, you know you're supposed to let the motor warm-up a little before you go full throttle right? :D

I've had experience with Wiseco in 2 and 4 strokes and have had great reliability with them both. I have used www.recreationunlimited.com and found their prices as low as anyone with free shipping over 50 bux, they also have machine shop service as well for boring/sleeving and the like. They are in central VA. One was a KX 500 others were LT250R Quad, 300EX quad. All with sleeving and or boring done as well.

Chris, you said the jug is at .080 over. If you bore it, I think that is going to limit your choice of pistons to Wiseco. I don't think Pro-X goes that large.
And from what I have heard about problems with the Wiseco pistons in 2 strokes it has been with the air cooled motors, not the water cooled ones.

I rebuilt my 85 R and went with the PRO X piston. I had Duncan Racing do the machine work, and that's what they suggest. Since they build race bikes for a living I believe them. My bike sounds awesome and runs better than ever
