it is me again
i need ya's advise man
i got a 1982-83 tri moto 175 2 stroke
i paid 25 for it from the same guy i got the tri-z
ok down to the point now
the cylinder where the piston goes up and down in is rusted and has rats nest in it. do i get a diff cylinder or just have it bored out. this is my 1st tri moto besides a 225DX.
please help
this is a little diff than a 225DX
225DX has a bigger and taller motor while the 175 is short and wide.
i need a crap load of parts to just like the tri-z
i bought both with just motor and frame but the 175 has some things gone out of it
will ya guys send some pics of the inside of a tri moto 175 right crank case
i sure do appriciate it

try to clean it up enough to get a measurment ,then you will have an idea what bore it is on ,, and if the rust pits are to deep . sometimes you can go more than one bore size to clean up a bad place too, sounds like a project !!!

its gonna be an expensive project
the whole cylinder is rusted
it didnt come with a piston so
ill take a pic and email it to you kasey
do you know where i can get a S**T load of parts for it

Take the jug to a machine shop and ask them. If it hasn't been bored before you can almost definitely get out the rust.

i finally got the rusted case to split and all the gears are really good.
but the bearing on the crank is rusted but i tried to wire brush it. it has little pits in it
i cant get the bearing off the crank shaft
thats what was wrong with it
it was locked up because of some moron left it out in the rain
i hate it when people say i will never get it runnig
it really pisses me off.
im trying to get the water and rust outta the casees so i can see if the crank will work in there
i need a pisto and rings
front forks, axle, handle bars, tire, rim, front brakes, and complete gasget and a top end complete gasket kits
i need a carb, exhaust oil bin to put the oil in so i wont have to mix it
air box and filter
bearings and seals

will some of you guys tell me if ya have parts for a tri moto 175
1982-83 model
please help me out
im goin to be out alot of money on my project:cry:

well i will do it on my own since 2 or 3 people r nice enough to reply
thanx to the ones that replied
i guess i wont be on here that much anymore
because ill be rebuilding the motor ALL BY MY SELF!!!
