The motor will bolt to the frame. You may have a problem with the intake.

I have a Loncin 110cc in mine and I had to machine about 1/8" off the base of the intake so the air cleaner would not hit the bottom of the tank.

The spelling is right 225. Loncin is right up there with the Lifan and Jialing.

if i get the cobra exhaust will i have to mod it to get a good fit? if so what other companies sell good exhaust that will fit?
FlyingW
06-09-2008, 11:45 PM
Sterdy prouducts sells an exhaust but its spendy. I bought a chinese aftermarket pipe for a CRF50 off Ebay and all I had to do was put a couple of minor bends in it to get it to fit. Total price was 57.00.

Check Ebay for your motor. Many of the motors offered come with everything i.e. carb, intake, electrics etc. I have even seen a couple that include the harness. You also might want to PM Tres for a quote, he sells the Lifan motors but I'm not sure what his motors include.

ok thanks. a harness for a kicker is no big deal i could do it myself. thanks for all your help, the info will make my projest go alot smoother.
i will post pics when i am done.

ok i got the motor and the intake manifold is to big for the stock carb. and also the stator cover is broken and i need to find a new one that will fit on the new motor.
FlyingW
06-18-2008, 11:29 AM
Ya, the stock carb is to small. probably need a 16mm or 18mm carb..... Ebay. I bought 2 16mm carbs for 25.00. You should be able to find a stator cover as well.

how do i know what size carb to get?
FlyingW
06-22-2008, 03:54 PM
measure the ID if the intake at the carb mount. It will be in mm.
kawi400
06-24-2008, 02:22 PM
does a 22mm carb sound right to you?
kawi400

Kaw,
Go to the link below. Look at your CDI, is it a 5 pin?

07-10-2008, 04:26 PM
3 pin?? usually they're 4 or 5 pin. can you post a pic of it.
FlyingW
07-10-2008, 04:31 PM
Just so we're talking about the same thing. CDI 4 or 5 pin
FlyingW

Voltage Regulator typically a 4 pin

i have 3 wires comming out of the stator a green wire a red and black wire and a blue and white wire. then i have one wire comming out of the coil.
FlyingW
07-10-2008, 07:48 PM
Ok kaw, look at that diagram in the other post (see the link above). Green gets grounded to the frame, the other 2 wires go to the CDI. The CDI is external to the stator. Everything you need to know is in that diagram. You might want to solicite the help of a friend or family member to help if you aren't familiar with wiring.

do i have 2 go buy a CDI cuz i dont think i have one. i will try 2 post pics once my camera charges. i see what 2 do on the link but i have been stumped on the CDI.also the stock engine has a 4 pin with 3 contacts showing but it wasnt pluged in so i figured i didnt need it.
FlyingW
07-11-2008, 12:58 PM
Disregard the stock wiring, All that goes away except for the wire going to the coil and the kill switch. Fan the wires out coming out of the stator and snap a picture. if you dont have a CDI, YES, go buy one. They are all over Ebay. Since its not electric start you dont need a regulator unless your going to put a headlight on it. Once you get the CDI, yu dont need to buy the plug for the CDI if yu dont want to. You can terminate each wire with a female blade connector from any auto parts store. Youl just have to plug in each wire seperatly as opposed to all the wires going in to 1 plug. Same for the regulator if you use one. Yu can also get the CDI from DRATV.com. Once you have that, the rest is easy.

or download VSO image resizer. Its free. Install it. Then, right click over the picture or pictures you want to resize and select VSO image resizer from the dropdown menu. Resize to 800x600. It will resize and keep the original. Real easy to use.

FlyingW

nope, without the CDI, you have a 170lb paperweight. your gonna need some wire and splices too. Wire color doesn't matter as long as the stator wires go to the right terminal on the CDI and 1 wire to the kill switch. No way around it.
FlyingW do you know what happened to his pics? Kawi400 did you delete your attachments? I'd like to see this 'cuz I've been considering a transplant for my 110.
