Mufflers

Has anybody here used a Cobra Utility exhaust sytem on a Honda 185 or 200? How quiet is it in relation to stock. I am not so much worried about performance increases as I am about keeping it quiet. Any other good, quiet mufflers available? Another must is a USFS approved spark arrestor.

My other option is to watch Ebay for a decent stock muffler as mine rotted out from sitting outside uncovered and unused for about a decade or so.

I dont know for sure how there utility ones are. But i know Cobra has a reputation for being loud. Some people that have bought there proformance ones have went back to stock because they were to darn loud. And i bet a new stock one would be a bundle. So i think that ebay would be a great place to find a cheap used one. I dont think they ae real spendy on there. Probable a lot less then a new Cobra would be.

But maybe some one on here has one and can fill us in on them. I have kind of wondered the same thing myself.

i have a cobra "racing" series on my 250sx. and it suucks, sooo damnn loud that i'm looking for a quiet series muffler. stock is like 230 or something ridiculous. so i don't know what i'm gonna do because my bike is just too dang loud

I have one with quiet core...I am sorry but it is not any louder then the 350x stock. By the way i run it on my 200x. I am also running with no baffleing (or whatever you call that stuff) in it. I cant imagine a Cobra being considered loud. now I gotta hear one of these....Oh and the bad news...no spark arrestor, I can tell you how to sorta cheat there.:D I have been told one will fit, But have been unsuccessfull finding one. plus was unwilling to risk throw out $65 to find out. Cobra does not make one that i am aware of. I have no complaints about em other then the sparky hiccupp which i took care of very easy...weld, Friends, and some backyard working will set you up!!

The Utility is basically a Cobra Quiet series with a spark arrestor built into it. It is the muffler (at least in the photos I have seen) that has the downturned tail pipe coming out of the end.

By the way, has anybody heard a Jardine Stalker? I know I would need to get a Sparky add on for that though.

BUT: I have heard good thigns about the ute by cobra. I wouldnt hesitate to get it...

does anyone know if that cobra quiet core will fit in the steel "racing" exhaust? i need to quiet my bike down for the love of god but there aren't any options out there that i see other than stock exhaust which i don't feel like paying 230 for.
