Well I am looking into building a "monster" atc 70 with larger than normal tires. I want to make a mock baby big red. My questions is what racks would work on the 70 without major modifications? I was thinking the 110/125 front and maybe even the back. But I also dont want them to look out of place and way too big either. Give me some input fellaz!

Thanks

Maybe try the racks off an old Honda 110 trail bike? You know, the street legal ones that go like 30mph!!!!!!!!

You could get a rear rack from a Chinese mini quad like BMX or the like. You may have to get pretty creative with the front rack - I think a 110 rack would be too big - alot of size difference between those 110 forks and little baby 70 forks.

I have been looking everywhere for the rack in this thread (http://www.3wheeler.org/vb/showthread.php?t=43550) but...

1. Everyone who has one REFUSES to part with it

2. Everyone who has one REFUSES to even post better pictures and/or measurements so that somebody who can bend pipe and weld could attempt to make one

3. I can't seem to find anyone who can bend pipe and weld

I have a small rack in tha attic basically new I think came off a TRX70 but it forms around the seat on the 70. With a little metal fab you could make some brackets to mount it up. I doubt I'll ever use it

Lol, I have a 70 with a rack! I'll see if I can't find a picture anywhere. If not then I'll take a picture of it tmrw for you.

That would be AWESOME! Several pictures from several different angles would be even MORE awesome! If it's not too much trouble, could you take some measurements, too? Thanks!

The rack on Veals 70 looks like the ones that come on the kids china quads.

The original red expanded metal one is what you want. Hand make a front rack to copy a BR and you gotta make the headlight removeable to use like a lantern. Also 18x8x8 is as big as you can go up front without having to extend the forks.
Can't wait to see it.

This rear rack came off a Yamaha Grizzly 80. With a little fabricating, I think it looks pretty good! I had to drill 4 holes. 2 in the rack itself, and 2 in the grab bar. Once I drilled the 2 holes in the rack, I actually used Hondaline rack clamps to clamp it to the grab bar. Then, I drilled 2 holes in the grab bar, got some longer bolts and a set of nuts, a bunch of fender washers, and some steel spacers.

And believe it or not, it isn't all that weak. I was able to sit on it facing backward (feet dragging on the ground!) while my son drove me around the yard for a couple of minutes, and I weigh 160 pounds. My only complaint is that it doesn't sit high enough to be flush with the seat, but beggars can't be choosers I guess.

I don't foresee any serious hauling being done with this rack, though. It was more for just the novelty of it. My 4-year-old son wanted a rack on his "Little Red" since dad's Big Red has a rack on it. Naturally, being the softy that I am for him, he got what he wanted!
