how do i change the gear ratio on my tri moto 175
im having the cases sand blasted because of the rust
its getting sand blasted TOMARROW
my uncle will sand blast it for free
i was wondering how to change gear ratio and which gear to change ratio on

you buy different sprockets. More teech in the back will help acceleration & hurt top speed. More teeth on the front sprocket will help top speed & hurt acceleration.

Do you know how many teeth your front and rear sprocket have on them now?????.

hey ben why would you want to change the gearing if you have never ridden it yet???????? it might be just right,,,,,,,,,

you got a point kasey
it has a 11 tooth front sprocket
39 tooth rear sprocket
i know i havent ridden it yet
but i want it to have POWER
what about sand blasting the cases in and out
would it hurt it
it has alot of rust inside of it

watch out for where bearings and shafts seat. if you inlarge the holes by to much youll have just ruined the cover and if you run it that way start to look for a motor.

Also i wouldnt sand bast anywhere that the two cases touch or you may a problem getting the two halfs to seal again.
