i hear alot of stock 4 strock bikes make this high pitch whistle noise in the exhaust or near the motor when they run and at the Trail Riders Expo i met a fellow with a DS 650 and he have a high performance cam and piston in it and it does the same whistle and his stock DS doesnt make this noise same exhaust fuel airbox everything i have also heard this from 450 race quads that may or may not be stock make this whistle noise almost sounds like a turbo is this some type of cam that makes them whistle i want to make my Raptor 700 sound like that too i am aware of a turbo kit for the raptor but its 3500 bucks and i am just curious as what makes these machines have this wistle
I think it's just the airbox/air filter setup. Ever heard a cold air intake on a car? At certrain throttle % they make a whistle too.
Some times the exh. baffle will do that

sounds to me like your talking about an airbox eliminator sound, Some exhaust will make it too, Trinity 4 stroke exhaust are known for making the loudest "whistle"

I heard a ricer go by one time that had a whistling thing stuck in his tailpipe. Was supposed to make it sound like it had a turbo. :D

Hey man where did you see that turbo kit for the Raptor at?Do they have them for other quads & stuff?Oh, and I agree with everybody else on the whistling thing,it's probaly the air box or the exhaust.
