Okay, I am looking at some hop ups for my 86 250R, and i am thinking of a CR250 Reed cage, Intake, and carb. ( I am on a low budget ) and I can get a whole setup for probably cheaper than a reed cage new

Anyway I was looking at a Keihin PWK Carb off a 97 CR250R and i noticed it has an electrical connection on the one side. Does anyone know what that is and if it will affect any performance?

Thanks for any help

The connector is a booster jet that runs off the ignition, lots of the last 250 2 strokes had this setup. You can leave it unplugged and run the carb that way with no problems, it won't affect it at all.

Isnt it a TPS (throttle position sensor?) and yes i know many times they are ran unpluged with no problems.

The booster is on the 04/5 trx450.

I didnt think it would have an affect, but didnt know what it was since i have never had anything newer than an 86 (in the motorcycle/atv realm that is)
