not sure if anyone else has ran into this problem before or already figured this out, but when you rebuild the forks on 85-86 R's honda microfiche that i have looked at only lists the bushing below that is pressed into the slider below the fork seal (#10 in the pic below, Honda part # 51414-463-003). The bushing that is on the bottom of the chrome pipe, #8 in the pic, is not given....so i did some research and found that 1985 honda shadows use the same bushing that is presed into the slider, which means dimensions of the tube are the same. with that figured out, i took a chance and bought the bushings that go on the chrome pipe for the shadow (Honda part # 51415-463-003) and sure enough they fit the 250R perfectly.

So to sum this all up, if your 250R fork bushings are worn causing your fork seals to go out often, buy two of each of these honda parts (4 bushings total):

51414-463-003
