My first atc70

Here is a pic of my first atc70. I am working out of province and don't have much time to work on it right now but i can't wait to get started. Looking at all the pics of the builds that people on here have done has really given me the itch to get started on this one. I have also bought another one from Mr lil trikes (member on this site) some of the parts have beens shipped, just waiting on him to get the rest in the mail to me so i can build both. Anyways here is what i am starting off with for one build, plus some parts that aren't in the pic, and when i recieve the rest of the parts from mr lil trikes i will post pics of that one. The one that i bought from him is a complete bike that runs, just have to wait to get the frame, plastics, tires and other misc parts in the mail so i can assemble that one. I can't wait!
I know that i am on the right site if i need any help which i am sure i will need.

Well I was thinking about going stock (colors) but after looking at the pics of your builds and a few others, it's got me thinking. Not too sure on what colors to pick if I go custom, so maybe throw a couple ideas out there. I am out of province working and i only get home for 8 days a month so it is going to be a slow build, but i am just itching to get started. I will definately keep you guys up to date on the progress as i am sure i will have lots of questions along the way.

If you're thinking about going with something different than everyone else, look into those fiberglass fenders that you can paint whatever color you wish:thumbsup:

Thanks for all the feedback guys, and kasey may have just given me an idea, the one in the pic is a canadian model, and the one that Is on the way from mr lil trikes is an american model hmmmm, maybe that will be the theme, one canadian one american color scheme. What do you think, like i said shoot me some ideas.

How about the canadian version in white and red with some sort of twist and the american version in the stars and stripes. I've always been partial to the stars and stripe theme. Show your canadian pride and do it up. It really depends on your imagination. Color availibility on the fenders is wide with the availibility of the fiberglass fenders on ebay. Just put them in the garage and stare at them for a while. It will come to you. Graphics (decals) are easy to have made these days. Iv'e seen such a diversity on designs on the 70's and Kasey has an exceptional imagination. It helps that he has the skills and tools to do some of the stuff he does but don't let that slow you down. Most of the effect is paint.

You want ideas, go to glamis dunes.com and register with a user name. Click on the picture gallery and checkout what some of these hardcore 70's guys are doing to their rides. It brings a tear to my eye. Tons of good information there too.

Funny you should say that KASEY, so far i have gotten about half of it, and i havn't been able to contact him in a week now. I am keeping my fingers crossed but i am slowly losing faith that i will recieve the rest, but lets hope the rest comes. If not i will be on the search for more parts, like frame, exhaust, rims, tires, front forks........
I am still hoping he is an honest person and will send the rest.
I have his phone number, maybe i should give him a call...

Grandy, I'm glad you got some of your stuff. I gotta tell you this kid is some peice of work. I was to get a front tire/rim, axel and hub for a 70 a month in a/half ago...NOTHING! I'm out $25 he gave me 3 contact PMs that pretty much add up to BS. He offered money back+10%...or reship parts blah blah....NOTHING! I put my claim in with Paypal.....did you pay alejandro rodriguez....marcus_man his phone #520-305-667? yeah he doesn't answer. Goodluck he aparently goes by 3-4 screen names...according to KASEY ugly200x also. I hope you get the rest of your stuff or money back. By the way I believe he's under 18yrs old so I'm wondering how he setup a paypal account.....Oh yeah Credit Card companies check all back grounds:doh:

Guys, I know it wont help you guys who got ripped by this little creep but I posted a thread in the mod lounge to have this little dill hole tossed from this site. I have no tolerance for this kind of crap so if you want his membership eliminated here....speak up loudly. I have one solution for theives and it doesn't involve the cops or the courts minor or adult. He knows the difference between right and wrong.

I have a refund pending 9-28-08 from paypal. Anthony has said he was sorry. Should we kick him out....I think NOT, because I believe he is clearly someone who will be traded with only as Cash up front, and COD. See, I'm one of those that believe in mistakes can happen. As long as the individual makes up or resolves the dispute: it's water under the bridge. He said he got grounded and his cell phone and computer were taken away....I can believe that....1 more fact to think of when dealing with a minnor. Kicking him out makes us look like non-adults that have 0 tolerence...If he continues to clear up his deals with other members I believe he is worth keeping around.

I totally agree with you in that mistakes happen and sometimes circumstances are beyond our control however, in this case these are not isolated incidents, He's already been banned from Glamis Dunes for the same things. If he's going to wheel and deal then he needs to make sure he doesnt leave people hanging. Minor or not, when you promise to deliver something for a price then he needs to follow through. He obviously doesn't communicate too well either. I like to believe that people are honest and trustworthy but there are the few who promise one thing and then don't deliver or they take forever with an endless stream of excuses. This is the case here. We mods have been privy to other intell on this guy and it doesn't look good.

i was never banned anywhere because i always came through and flyingw youve never made a deal with me so you wouldnt know. I have sold abunch of parts but right now was a bad time. But everyone still got what they wanted....eventually. and grandy will have a running bike in less then a week!

I did get my stuff from him off egay, but it was ony 10$ so it wasnt big deal. I did, however, get scared when his name was no longer registered. You have to admit with that and others not getting stuff is a bad omen.:nono:

Well some good news for me anyways, he is sending the rest of my bike in the mail to me, an 80lb package is on it's way from arizona to nova scotia as we speak. Should make it to my place in about a week, worst part is i am back at work now and won't get home for another 3 weeks.
