tire and wheel set up question help

I am building a custom atc 70 with a 125m motor. Attached are a couple of pics of the progress. My question is about the tires and wheels. On the rear I have used Douglas 8x8 wheel and a Carlisle 18x6.5x8 tire. After they were mounted they look more rounded than squared off due to the wheel being wider than the tire. I have seen alot of you guys use the carlisle tire and the pics don't make them look rounded like mine. Did I use the wrong wheel? Is there a wheel available that isn't as wide that you are using? Let me know what you think. Oh yeah, and thanks for all the inspiration. I'll post more pics as I progress.

yeah id say you have to wide of rims making the smaller tire bulge/round out
i am in no means an expert at this, but id say see if you can find some ITP QUADCROSS MX PRO 18x8x8 tires or turf tamer has some 18x8x8 or find 2 8x6.5 rims if they make them. hope this helps good luck

Not sure where the problem is. I have the same tires on my 70 but I bought them already mounted and they aren't bowed out like that. Its almost as if the rims they sent you are the wrong width.

here is a set of those tires mounted on the correct size wheel you need a 8x6 wheel,,, not an 8x8,,,
