What kind of tire fits on the front of the SX? i have a dimpled knobby on there but it seems to like to rub on the forks so most of the time i have to run it over inflated to keep it away from the forks? just wondering the a$$ i bought it from put this one on it because the other one had to have a tube to stay inflated but he coulden remember what it was. Should i just get one from honda for the stock tire?
:wtf: :bs:

1st thanks for info on the 200s!!
my front tire also rubs on my 250sx- look close where it rubs may not be as big a problem as you think.. mine rubs on a relief lug along the outside lip.. has not wore down as of yet but only got 400 miles maybe on them.

I have carlisle trail pros and they rub too unless the front tire is way overinflated. I'm going to just take a razor or grinder and cut the side knobs down so they don't rub.

you will never cut em even- suggest let it wear or hit with light sander.

Maybe not, but it's better than letting the fork wear down.

don't feel bad my nobbie on my 82 250r does the same thing i have to inflate it over 15 lbs.
I was looking at me 200s and one of my 250sx's
and the tire was made in japan. They have the
dirt seal edges at the rim and the side wales
don't stick out much past the rim. so you have a 1/2 in of clearance on each side. the after market
rub and start to wear a hole in your shock if not over inflated.;)

I put a set of factory replacments on one my 85's. I've never seen rubbing on either of my sx's. My old sx is running a 11 inch wheel with a front tire from a quad.

i have a stock Ohtsu 22x11-8 on my 250SX....it doesn't rub at all.
Maybe convering to a 200X front rim and disc brake set-up would be the Cats Nuts....

i think i may do something like that but a 350x set up
I you change to a X or R front take care when you first
go riding. It makes the front of the bike lighter. Will come up quicker. Thats all i run , if your not sitting on the gas tank when you gun it on a corner the tires don't brake free the front comes up an you go strait.
Bye sitting on the back half of me seat, from a dead stop, hit full
throttle, I can flip me bike over. That makes it more dangeruse
in the woods. But a lot more fun to ride.

what do you have for a setup?
i found just a pir of 350x fork tubes for cheap and im just gonna ssemble it with the sx tripple clamps and axle if it will work. let me know and what kind of machie your setup is on too. thanx
From every thing i have heard on this site and others that the 350x has a larger diameter than the X's R's & SX.
you would have to change out the triple clamps.
some one asked if they could use 350x shocks on a 250r
and were told why not and given the two sizes so he could see the differances.
