Extending the swing arm this week! How long should I go? It's bored with a pipe and jetted but will have more. I want to go up tree shots and hills without thinking about wheeling. Right now I can't keep it down.

think about wheelieing ... sometimes in the tree shots keeping the front light is pretty important... and in the tight stuff at sandlakes 6 might be a little much unless you have the power to kick the assend out when needed!!! also think about this 5 inches would be perfect for chain adjustment so there would be no worries about using a halflink for a streched chain if you run out of adjustment,,,if you want to go longer,, then 6.25 would be thew next jump.....in keeping everything happy!!! i just realized your working on a tri-z... they might have enough adjustment that you won't have to worry about how long you extend....

Yeah I was thinking about 4 3/4 to keep the adjustments in. My buddy said never go even numbers, not sure if he's right but I'll most liking go by .25 of an inch.

the link length is what you measure... them extend in increments that match the link length

The longer you extend the axle the less weight you have on the rear end so less traction. I would say any longer than 3" and your hurting yourself more than your helping (in most cases)
I had no problem with the tree shots on my banshee with a -2 learn to use your clutch,.

I took the swinger to work and took the first step today. I didnt want to mess with the shock mount so here is where I cut it.:burnout:

I am happy with my 3 1/4" extended swinger. But thats not on a tri-z. 3 3/4" sounds like a good choice. The only drawback is I think the more extended the harder it is to turn.
