84 200x pull start???? New Guy Here

First of all let me say hello! I bought a basket case 200x that I plan to just trail ride with in the future. I like big projects but this is my first ATC project. My first hobby is drag racing and this has an engine! i wonder if the track will let me make a pass?? well on to my question.

I have a 84 200x with a pull start??? After reading this board some I thing the engine may not be original :confused: . How can I tell. did any year 200x come with a pull start?

No 200x ever came with a pull starter. More then likely someone has put a 185s/200s motor into it. If you can find the numbers off the motor.Maybe we could tell you what motor it is in there.

its not a 200x engine, if its a honda motor chances are its a 200s/185s

If it's a automatic trany it's proble a 200s
It's a stander change over I've seen a lot.
If sprockets were not changed take off wont be good but great top end speed.

atc 185s 81-82 and 83's
atc 200 80-82 and 83's
atc 200m 84-85
atc 200s 84-86
These all have 11 tooth front sprockets

atc 200x 83-85 12 tooth rear 40
atc 200x 86-87 13 tooth rear 38
Fronts will interchange rears will not.
if auto trany a 13 to 40 should gear it close
to trany requirements and clutch modeles too.
