Have an 83 250R doing a complete retore and I cant seem to get the main swingarm bolt out any suggestions on how to do this, It looks like it should push through the brake lever side with no problems but it wont! What they heck is up with this!

read my 86 500 link in my sig. the bushings get grooved/rusted on to the bolt. the best solution would be take it to a machine shop to be pressed out.

I currently have it drenched in liquid wrench, it seemed to free the bolt up so it turns at least! I would leave the swingarm in but The engine wont come out unless I take the top end off otherwise! For some reason there is a piece of the case that goes under the swingarm mount, and I just cant get the engine to come out without removing the swingarm! Thats what I get for wanting to strip frame and do a ground up on this thing! I will post pictures of my restore in progress, as soon as I can get this F---ing bolt out! Also if anyone has a good used bearing carrier and plastic I would like to possibly purchase f4rom you! I have several parts to sell for ATC 90 and 110 and trx 200sx if interested e-mail me at herandeye@netzero.net Or check out e-bay under user name family63 I currently have an atc balloon tire up for auction that closes on 10/29 at 6 p.m pst it is at 9.99 right now so if you want a killer deal on a 200 plus $ tire you better get on it! Thanks Mike

Good luck with it. And from the sounds of things its a good thing you are pulling the swingarm bolt. Because it sounds like your roller bearings are shot.
