1) What is the difference between a Honda 200M and all the other 200s. Why did Honda make it?

2) What are the do's and don'ts of running a oversized high comp piston. Is it safe? I heard they arent worth it because the original engine was built to stock specs and they will destroy any engine. Can an engine take it?

just odd questions i have on my mind

Is there any more stress on a engine when there is an over sized high comp piston running. (ie.) can u run a high comp piston in a 200M? Can the engine handle the pressure since it wasnt engineered to handle a bigger more powerful piston? if that helps just wondering

also are there any differences engine/frame wise between a big red and 200M?

can o worms here,,,,, it gets more technical ,, you could run 10:1 without any problems,,, when you start going higher then there are issues ,, honda over engineers pretty well, so i wouldn't worry about 10 to 1 at all,,,,,,,,

Can u feel a significant power increase with a 10:1. Was there anything diffrent between a 200E and 200M?

Need to know what year 200e and what year 200m. I think they were both unsuspended trikes, so more power may be very hard to control.

I think the 200m was kinda the same bike but w/o reverse.

the only thing I'd be concerned about with a high-comp piston would be starter life.

You could look up starters between the 200e and a 200m and see if they are the same starter. Because if i am not mistaken the 200e came with a 10:-1 piston stock. So it would tell you weither your starter could handle it or not.

The 200M was based on the ATC 200 (where the 200S was based on the 185S) and came with electric start, 25" tires (vs 22" on the 200S), and a couple of inches of front suspension. I believe the 200M was made from 84-86 like the 200S. The 200E was the original Big Red and had reverse and racks. The 200M is a good trike with a little more ground clearance than the S model due to the larger tires, however it is also heavier and therefore a little slower (in stock form) than the 200S. They are both really fun trikes. I can't wait to get my S running again. The workshop is almost complete and I have accumulated some parts, so I hope to get started soon. I am sick of riding quads!

no the Big red and the 200M had 7.8/1 piston

Yep you are correct. I stand corrected. I was told they used the same piston as a 200x. So i assumed they ran 10:-1.
