250r build

I have been buildng a 250r out of my parts lot, and what I didnt have I got from FW..aka jim. I never mentioned it becouse I am building a rider that is solid, but nothing special. It has kinda taken a turn becouse the parts guy..aka FW found a terribly cheep motor that ended up with this esr big bore on it. Its gonna need to be bored and a new piston instaled. Previus owner said it has a Long crank in it. I would like to hear any info you guys may have to offer on this. Thanx Bill

The bore is 71.97mm
Stamped on rod (pro x 03.1315)

72mm I believe is a 310 probably a trx long rod (someone will prob have to verify that)/Cool head..

Thank you jen, I was hopeing somebody would tell me the big bore size(310).
Ya, I am happy about the score I never get this good stuff. I have a new 39 pw carb, but i am not sure if i wanna eliminate my airbox so I guess I am gonna have to put the big jets in a stock carb. Ill wait to decide till I get the cylinder work done. We will have to get FW to get further pics. He just picked it up for me today.Thanx Bra....:thumbsup:

if we have a long rod in this motor, is a spacer plate required with these pistons?

well, I think so becouse from what you have shown the cylinder is not in real bad shape. Did it come with spacer?

I gave ESR the info and they confirmed that the jug is a 310 econo kit with porting for mid-top end. They said they had everything i need and for me to send it to them and they will fix me up. So thats the plan. I am looking for a good paul turner pipe if anyone has one, Thanx Bill

Bill, do you want me to drop ship the cylinder to ESR at the same time I ship the bottom end to you? I can attach a tag to the cylinder with all your contact information. Shipping for just the cylinder shouldn't be very much with my discount. That would give ESR time to do up the cylinder while you go through the tranny. Let me know.
