I'm thinking about hooking myself up with a pair of ITP Blackwater tires (22x12.5x8) for my 250sx. i mainly ride in sloppy conditions but do ride on hard pack sometimes also. how do these tires perform in swampy (muddy) conditions, snow, and hard pack? and how long does the tread wear? any advice would be great.

My friend was running them on a 350x and he had 0 psi in them and you could stand on the tire and it wouldn't go down. I guess that means they are a hard rubber and many ply. They were good traction, might be hard on bearings and such because tires sort of act as suspension.

they are really think and heavy. they get really good traction but if u lke doin donuts and burnouts dont even think about them because my buddy has a fully modded banshee and he couldnt even spin a donut or it was really hard to. They are extremly heavy!!

I have 20x9's on my 350x. I like them alot..tough tire. They also paddle through mud real well....I guess If you have the money to drop on them...do it!! They'll last you a long time! As far as doing donuts and crap like that, The 350 spins them like theres no tomarrow....of course Banshees have trouble spinning racing slicks on wet pavement :lmao: :lmao: ]

i'm not about donuts or spinnin them up, i just don't want to get stuck and i have no problem shelling out my hard earned cash as long as the product is high-quality and will last a while.

I would recommend Super Swampers over blackwaters. I've had experience with both. Our 350 big bear had 26x12x12 blackwaters on the back and 26x9x12 on the front, and they were no good at all and wore down very fast. The swampers are on a 2wd timberwolf, and it never gets stuck unless he's bottomed out bad.

try mud bugs or gators really good all around tire and $ less than blackwaters

i was lookin at gators too, but they don't look like they'd last too long in some of the rocky/gravel type terrain i ride on.
