i dont know what fails on the ignition system but he said he had trouble with the flywheel on several of them. Guess what his father owns a machine shop and they have the fix. he said tecate magnets were glued/pressed in and that hondas were crimped. can you guess his solution.

he took a 185s flywheel and the tecate flywheel to the shop. they cut the key in the 185 in the proper place and then they had to slightly increase the taper to fit the crank. he said the end result has been running 10 years :shocked: i am going to check them out in the morning. he said he still has 10 tecates and may be willing to part with one of his 86's for $1000.
