I think your cylinder is a Nikasil cylinder. You can bore it to 74.00mm and send it be re-nikasiled. Usually around $200. I'm sure the jug can take it, but I really dont know. Remember that the Nikasil will put .002-.003 thickness back into your cylinder so hone accordingly!

I was under the impression that if you couldn't overbore a nikasil-lined jug & you had to resleeve it with a steel sleeve. Contact LA Sleeve and see what they say.

What brand piston is it? And what is the part #. Is it the same that 3wheelergod is using on his build? 74mm should be fine with the tecates all aluminum cylinder construction. If it has been previously sleeved this will not work. U.S. chrome can handle your needs of boring and plating to size. But send them your piston. A 285cc Tecate seems like a nice balance of hp and torque with proper porting and compression.

actually the cylinder is stock with the stock sleeve in it,the piston is a wiseco and the part # is w5007p4,so u r saying the sleeve thats in there will have to come out and the cylinder will then be plated,i think this will make it a 295cc ,but i am not sure, thank you for your help, and everyone out there

74mm bore and a 64.9 stroke is actually 278cc. These were all plated cylinders from the factory. A 76mm bore will displace 295cc's. I hope your cylinder has not been previously sleeved, cause this will create a multitude of problems. Thanks for the #.:burnout:
