Can someone explain the difference's - :doh:

How many gallons/ounces difference between the two?

I know the first may answwer this - Ride time difference between the two?

Is there Different mounting?

the black one is a short track tank,,, it holds alot less gas,,, i would never use one in the dunes,,,, standard tanks are small enough when you want to do a long ride,,, you can get a standard tank in black too,,, by the way there is a guy on 3ww selling a carbon front fender and tank shrouds,,,,

I have not been able to find a company that offers a fullsize black tank.

I bought the fender and 1 set of shrouds from that guy, he still has one set of shrouds for sale.

I want to get a black tank and try this company that offers carbon graphic dip or powder coat.

And also get my chopped rear fender dipped since no one has a carbon rear fender.

It says red when your order it but they only come in black. If by some miracle a NOS red one shows up, you basically just hit the jackpot because you'd quadruple your money on ebay with it.

As someone else said, Clarke makes OEM replica tanks in multiple colors. IMS also makes a desert tank in black.
