Starter clutch

Hi,

I have a Yamaha 225DX atc. Work awesome except for the electric start.
Finally got all the electrical working. When I depress the start key the motoor whirrs away but it appears the starter clutch is not engaging. It was turning over but after I pulled the starter motor out a few times and replaced it the starter clutch is not engaging. Yes the starter gears are meshed with the starter clutch.

Is there anybody out there that can help?

I know with the SX it can be installed backwards and will do the opposite!

Whatever smooth sleeve or surface that clutch on also has to be changed sometimes. Just undersized by .001 can make the difference between grip and slip!
