Would I be able to replace the special clutch basket bolt and oil filter rotor bolt with a plain metric size nut? Reason being in case I ever have to remove the side case again, I don't have to find a special way to remove these bolts. I already ended up breaking the oil filter rotor trying to tap off that bolt. This is for a 1984 200x.

No the rotor needs the screws. When removing the screws with an impact driver wedge a big flat blade screw driver between the rotor and the clutch so you don't brake the rotor.

So what your saying is the oil rotor DOES need that special nut and clutch will be fine with just a plain jain 6 point metric nut? Won't a regular nut fit inside the oil rotor?

Oh your talking the crank nut. if a socket will fit you can uses any thing. the tool is not that much. around $11.00

I understand. The clutch nut is still fine to use but the oil rotor nut is destroyed. For some reason if that spring underneath the clutch pops off again, this will make it easier for removal purposes.
