Great site guys keep it up....
Just picked up a cheap 250sx 1985 with a seized piston. I pulled the plug and it looks like there is some rust on the piston/cylinder wall. So here is my question....
With the overhead cam I can't pull the head because the cam sprocket bolts probably won't be both accessable. So there won't be a way to slide the timing chain off and remove the cam and cam sprocket. I can't rotate the engine to get to the bolts because the piston is seized.
Do you think there is engough room to lift the left side of the cam and get enough play to slide the timing chain off? Or what have you guys done? The only alternative I see is cutting the chain off and replacing it. But that would mean splitting the cases right?
