my 85 200x is bogging out half way though the throtal i think it has something to do with the fuel mixture also it is smokeing alot but could be rings any possibility it could also be related to the carb problems, i need help with the carb problems

first off if your using a fuel mix that's your prob. it's a four stroke not two.
whats the black soot in the exh. look like. oily or dry. rub it between two fingers.

im not using a mix im talking about the pilot jet..... and its oily

If you are burning oil, then either the rings or the valve guides are shot.
Your trike needs a new top end.
Sorry that there is not a simple or cheaper answer, but that is reality

:doh: thats what i was thinking haha i was just hopeing that it could be the carb to bad...

Take the carb off and clean it...I have a gallon can of carb cleaner I got at checker that has a basket with a handle in it. Dismantle the carb and jets and soak it over night, then blow out the jets. Clean the airfilter while your at it. Install new plug. Install the carb, adjust af screw. Ride, read plug then adjust needle. If your pulling it too far out of the hole or going to far in, rejet accordingly.
Yes your 200x needs top end work, but I think it will still run fine for a while as is.
