Here's a question. My 85 250R right now I have it jacked up as high as it will go for desert / dune riding, but how would I lower it for say flat tracking, or Ice racing? I understand you can slide the fork tubes up and down for the front, but what about the back? Do you adjust the spring up or down? or get a longer shock linkage. Also would that linkage work with the skid plate?

I seen one person use a ratchet strap for the rear.

You can get an adjustable linkage. James Lucky has them.

Check out the link on the links page called "ATC's, Real crazies ride 3 wheelers" and find the page about his 250R. He talks about how he lowered his for dune riding, and there's also a pic of an extended lower rear shock link...
Hope this helps- it's the only place I've seen one done.
