how to fix shock tubes ???

well the shock tubes on my 250sx have a hole worn out in them due to my father (previous owner) putting the wrong front tire on it.
and now my forks are completely dropped and stiff.
i am wondering if any 1 here knows how they can be fixed (sealing up the holes)
can it be welded or pluged with something so it will hold fluid and work again or do they simply just absolutely have to be changed.
any input on this would greatly be appreciated thx.

Yes were the tire wears a hole in the slid you can have it welded with no prob.

thx i thought so i took the forks and shocks apart last night they where pretty stuck now im gonna clean em all up and get the tubes welded up then i should have my front susp back
