is there another cylinder that will bolt up to the 200x to make it a larger cc.i read a thread that someone says a tl250 or xl250 cylinder will bolt up.can someone confirm this.

No, it won't bolt up. The cylinder off of a CRF 230 will though. This is if we're talking about the 83-85 200X motors. Powroll used to make a stroker kit for those motors too. Reliability goes out the window though. The reason you can't big bore that motor is because the sleeve is already paper thin. Those motors were originally 100cc in their first generation. There are plenty of other mods to do to those things to get more power. A high compression piston works wonders combined with an XR200 carb and cam combined with free flowing filter and exhaust. There are aftermarket cams available also but don't go for the full race cams as they make the little 200 hard idling with very little low end power. Rideability sucks then.

Reliability with the Powroll stroker crank is not an issue. You don't have to work the engine as hard for much better all-round performance. Hard revving a standard stroke 200X does wear them out quicker.
Thats why Honda put a longer stroke in the CRF230 and left the bore size alone.
