hey guys i need some answers. i have an 83 honda 200x, and when i go to kick it over the spindle and all skips, and doesnt catch. sometimes it will catch, then when i give it a hard kick it skips the rest of the way. i hope someone can give me some info on the problem. replys greatly appreciated. thanks :mad:

sounds liek the internal assembly is stripped.

Yep it sounds like starter gears are stripped. If you are lucky it will be the two on the side of the tranny. And if not you are going to have to tear the tranny down and go through it.

I just got done doing the same thing on my 83 200x.
