I just bought an 84 250r for $30.00 in about four boxes. It is missing the rear swing arm and carrier, this guy that I got it from also has a rolling 200x for $50.00. Would the swing arm off of the 200x fit the 250R? Will most of the chassis cross over from the X to the R ? If so I'm going to have a boat load of three wheeler parts.

i don't THINK so
first off the 200x swingarm has a 1 piece pivot tube and i'm almost sure the 84 250 was split like later bikes
and doesn't the sprocket mount on the right side of the air cooled 250's
again i'm not sure but that's the easiest things to look at, and the very short length of the 200 wouldn't be good either

not unless you want to use a 200x engine
first my 82 250r sprocket is on the opposite side from my 85 200x i would inagine they didn't change that on the 250r's in later years(if so probably on the 85 86 models) but don't hold me to that.
Second the swing arm and engine mounting brackets on the 250r are used in combination with 2 mounts on the engine(slot in middle for pivot) then the swing arm then the frame with a single pivot bolt holding it all together (of corse there are 2 bolts on the motor that hold that side. i'm pretty sure a swing arm from 81 to 84 will work for you.
