Timing a 200X

Could some one tell me how you time your motor I am putting back together my '84 200X motor and dont want to screw it up with the timing so any info. would be greatly appreciated.

well, I'll tell ya how i just did mine. There is a dot on the cam timing gear, put it straight up, and align the mark on the flywheel straight up...Thats how i did mine, and it seems ok...maybe someone will tell us for sure...Mine might be wrong...but it runs...

put you flywheel at topdead canter and you cam on the dot (both cam lobes on the bottem line the dots up and put her together
