I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to make my headlight brighter? I have a '82 185s and the light is extrdmely dim unless you are running the motor above idle speeds. (no battery in this system) Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have replaced the bulb several times in 20 years but that never seems to fix my problem.....hrm

FWIW, the light on my 185s is pretty dim too. You could always have rickystator.com beef up your lighting coil. That way you could run a higher wattage light. Check them out & good luck.

You could look for a bulb that is the same wattage but more candle power. So it will make more light with the same draw on your light coil.

i took it apart and it looks like a halogen bulb what do i need to know to replace it? could it have been rated too low for the output on my 250r?
