has anyone ever tried this and will it work.start with a 200m and 200x engine.take the 200x clutch half and put it on the 200m,then use an xr200 6 speed trans .just messing around while i have two engines completely apart.but if it would work, this could be an easy way to add e start to a 1st gen 200x.

Is there going to be room for that starter in the 200X frame? If it works I will be interested in that swap.

Awesome idea I think, electric, pull and kickstart, rig up a spot to mount the battery and your set

did this work? So you just take the starter and what not off of the 200m and put it on the 200x?

For what its worth I am in the middle of building a 200MX and with regard to the starter motor the down tube had to be clearanced about 7/16 of an inch and then I reinforced it. as for battery, I used a 200 e box mounted on the left top of the frame under the seat. Ed

I dont think the cases line up to put the electric start onto the 200x bottom end, He has the 200x clutch half on a 200m bottom end with an xr200 gear set inside. A 200m wiring harness will simplify the wiring.
