If this is a dumb question just let me know, but I am trying to think and it is not working out the best for me.

I have a PT Hi-Rev pipe for my 250R and its awesome up top, but lacks everywhere else. I want to put a big bore sleeve in my R but i am having a problem thinking about how the exhaust should work.

If i have a 295 sleeve in my R, and i run the PT Hi-Rev pipe, would i get more mid range? I'm trying to think of the output of air, and at lesser RPM's with a bigger bore = more displacement, so would my PT Hi-Rev pipe be better all around?

What about a low end pipe in the same aspect?

If I run my PT-5 pipe with a big bore kit, am i going to lose some mid range, but have enough low end power to pull unborn babies out of fetuses?

Let me know what your thoughts are and tell me if I'm just crazy.

Going with a bigger bore your going to gain even more topend and loose bottom.

Get an ESR. That will slove the only topend power problem.

Going with the big bore and a lowend pipe they will just fight each other and the pipe will hold back the cyl and the Cyl is going to hold back the pipe.

Things have to match. Get things that suit your needs the best. Dont try and counter act what you got you will end up hurting things more than helping.

Actually its the other way around. A big bore on a stock cylinder will gain more low-end power at the expense of some peak rpms.

I agree with 3razors. However a 2-stroke expansion chamber is a complex thing. But overall the sharper and shorter the cones, the peakier the pipe. If it has a center section of constant diameter (called a dwell cone) and long low tapered cones then it'll produce more power down low. Your bore change wo'nt really affect the powerband of the pipe much. Also, 2-strokes are notorious for being grunters or being screamers. They really can't do both well.
