Engine Swap Question???

I have a rolling 85 250r chassis and was wondering what other engines I can put in it. Can i put a 450 4 stroke in it from a yamaha dirt bike? I am just checking out my options! I want a winter project!

no. it would be cheaper just to buy a 250r motor right now off of ebay. they are going cheap right now. to get a 450 motor in get ready for fabbing.

What kind of fabbing we talkin about? I knows me some machining.

the motor will not fit under the stock tank you will have to recradle the lower frame and have no ground clearance when your done.. the 450 motor is way taller than a 250r motor too,,, and you will have to figure out an oil tank too,, its alot of work,,

i know a guy who has a 250r with an xr500 engine in it its a beast to kick over but worth the ride lol good luck
