86 swinger on 85 250r?

i see that the front bearings are the same, so would this be a good thing?
to put an 86 swinger on an 85?
i prefer the adjuster on the 86 vs. the 85
i know carriers wont interchange

Yes, putting a complete 86 rear end on an 85 is an upgrade. The bearing carrier was much stronger and chain adjustment was slightly easier. The best benefit though is that it opens up your options for parts availability both stock and aftermarket.

I upgraded to a complete +5 1986 set-up with a +4 axle...I have found alot more options for upgrading my carrier, sprockets...ect

It is worth it

Yeah the 86 had different carrier, swinger, axle, sprocket and mount along with different brake mounting.
