What year CR250R engines will bolt into a 85/86 250r? (yes I know about the kickstarter...thanks)

How about the CR250 ("elsinore" was it?)....what year will bolt into an 83/84 R?

why is that? Its teh same engine, but detuned, so why wouldnt any work?

Sorry not same eng. You would have to change the eng mounting. case was change to match bike frame.

For the 83-4, i think your talking about the old cr's with the chain on the right..My partner has a cr-480(early 80's aircooled) with the chain on the right and the kickstarter on the left..I briefly looked at a swap...it wouldn't be a "bolt-in"... good luck..:)

air or h2o you still have to remount. with some tabs and a little welding. its in. axle will flip, remount the caliper, chain slide. no big deal right. i put a 200s motor in a klf 110
