So, I bought a new RK X-ring chain and sprockets for my 350X. Is there any trick to installing them? The chain box makes it sound like it's a big deal- something about pressing this and that. What's the deal? I've got a master link for it- what's the trick??
Thanks!

Well theres the problem you read the instuctions LOL. I have never heard of anything different about installing them. Or anything special that you have to do.

The thing about O-Ring chains is that the master links can be a pain in the *** (the filter will fix that for me). You have to compress the O-Rings under the plate to get the clip on. They are really tight.

Use vice grips to compress the O-rings, just dont damage them.

I agree use a needle nose vice grips to pull the link and chain together to start the clip on one side. And then after you get it on the one side. Switch the vice grips over to the other side of the link and compress that side with it to slide the clip the rest of the way on.
I had one that i didnt use the o-rings on the master because i just couldnt get the darn clip on it. And i figured it was better to change the master again in another year or so then to fight with the link.
