84 200M - Wiring Diagram

Hi Everyone, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. I was given a 1984 Honda Big Red 200M for my sons. There is a problem with the wiring and I'm not having any luck finding a manual or any info for this. I'm hoping to have this fixed for Christmas for my sons, so if anyone could provide me with some info I would greatly appreciate it. I know I'm not a member of this board but I noticed how helpful everyone is in there posts so I thought I would give it a try. You can email me directly if you'd like at jodyb@execulink.com

Ok first off there was no such trike as a bigred 200m.

They made a 200es big red and a 200m in 1984. And they both had batteries and electric start. And i would guess there wire diagrames are real similar. But to make sure the color codes are the same and all. You might want to look at the sticker on the sterring head below the handlebars. And the sticker there should tell you for sure what model it is. Or if the side covers and plastic are still on it they should say for sure what model it is.

Onec i know for sure what model it is i can try to take a picture of the wire diagram in my repair manual.

Thank-you for your quick reply. Here is the info I was able to get:

1984 200M
Shaft Drive with Reverse
High/Low Range
Electric Start

Its supposed to be in good condition with the exception of problems with the wiring and needing a muffler.

If you are able to send me a scan of the diagram that would be great.

200m is a chain drive where does it say 200m on it is it on the frame or on the plastic

Hello, Okay I took a look at the Bike today to double check. Its a Honda ATC 200ES 1984. Sorry for the confusion. Would you have the wiring diagram for this?

I do have a diagram in my manual for a 84 200es. But i tried to take a pic with the digital camara but it didnt look clear enough to read. So i am going to have to dig out my scanner and get it hooked up. So it might take me a day or so to get it posted.

I will also email it to Dan and have him put it in the tech section on the website for other people if they need it. Or if you need it for future refference.
