This has been a project on my list of things i want to do for a long time. Finally got it going.

This is a ATC copy of the ESR TRX11 exhaust. The ESR pipe is well known in the quad world as one of, if not, the best in frame drag pipe.

For those of you that arnt familiar with drag pipes, This is for TOP END power only. Its ether WFO or nothing. I will be having more built and selling these. If you are interested please pm me. They come in to versions a big bore and a small bore. The small bore you can use your current silencer.

Now that is cool NOS. The trx has always had more pipe options than the atc. Great job on getting that product out there.

Yes this is yours, Cant wait to see how it runs on the 370.

The atc i lacking pipes for the big bore engines, the 330cc engines and larger need some things changed on the exhaust and LRD is the only one that i know of that made big bore versions. With more and more big bore bikes out there this is becoming a necessity for more people. I figure the guys with a small bore drag ported bike could benefit from it too.

hehe Thats a PHAT pipe! I like it! good to see that being made available. awesome stuff. Ive been thinking big bore for a little while now, this isnt helping... how do you like it? Any chance you will hit the dyno with it? I know its a copy of a TRX11, but was just curious. HH

That should perform for the bigger motor'ed bikes. Nice work Nick.

Only thing to consider down the road would be to change the side its coming out. Guys with bigger feet or thicker legs will be hitting the pipe when they start it.

Nice lookin' pipe. Be nice to get something like this made for my '86 Tecate KXT500 project.

Nice indeed! You are truley a talented individual..

So lets hear some measurements to porting?? can you cater to particular measurements???? Did you build it from scratch?

I concur on putting it on the other side..

Jen, I hate to say this but i didnt build it. I went to a guy that has a hell of alot of experience building pipes. I just told him what i wanted.

Cory, The next one the "belly" of the expansion will be tilted forward more. This hopefully giving some more room for the kicker. Right now, Kicker is close, but not too bad. I was able to start my bike with the the lenght of kick i have under the pipe. On the left side you have your petcock, carb, intake, resivor for shock. It would be perty hard to run it on the opposite side.

Speedway, If you want something like that Pm me your phone number and we can talk. It not an impossible idea.

I would like to test that pipe vs my ftz oof and shearer oof on the dyno. Looks bitchen for sure

The kick start could be an issue for some individuals, especially if your not accustomed to kickn a honda, as some big bores require some serious kickn.

I would also like to see a dyno comparasion. I really didnt like the FTZ oof pipe after running several others on my bike. Didnt seem to really perform well anywhere. BUT i would think the OOF pipes would have higer dyno numbers. Thats why people go oof.

BUT i would bet there is no inframe that will even come close to it. Why dont ya get one brad and dyno em for me.

The next one should have some more room for the kicker, We will see how it comes out though. Might be done this week, but probably early next week.

ALSO

KXT500 pipes, Im going to look into this, I might have several built. If you are intrested in kxt500 pipes PLEASE PM ME.

That's a talented pipe builder for sure, it takes a firm grasp of Trig to make all the proper cuts for the sections. Nick, you are fortunate to have a guy like that at your disposal. That thing is BEEFY! I would love to see the HP and Torque curves of that pipe on a dyno graph.

Hehehe it's the Nick Lelaine BEEF pipe!

Alright guys....anybody doing this conversion needs to SPEAK UP NOW!! I'm positively commited to this....IF I can get 4 others to commit also. The more that commit...the easier on the pocket on cost of pipes.

Notiice I said COMMIT. The pipe builder is not going to be enthused to build 1 or 2 pipes....if he does....price goes up significantly.

After talking to Nick....NOS_350X...I am CONFIDENT that these pipes will be a work of art and fit correctly....which...in my opinion...is key...right along with functionality. For the builder to be able to build these pipes...a jig has to be made. Nick is willing to purchase an '86 Tecate chassis that has a KX500 motor already in it to use as a jig. This is an added extra exspense on his part. With enough COMMITMENT....he can offset the expense thru sale of enough pipes.

For you guys that are doing '85 KXT/KX500 swaps....same deal goes. More than willing to building pipes if the COMMITMENT is there.

You'll notice that I've mentioned COMMITMENT several times. This is because that is what's needed. Not just a "Hell...I want 1!"....and then back out. Anybody interested needs to put up 1/2 down...remaining 1/2 + shipping on completion. That's only fair to Nick and his pipe builder. I'm just trying to get the ball rolling....I make 0, nada, absolutely NOTHING on this deal...no 3rd party tax on my part! LOL I just want a killer pipe for my '86 Tecate KXT500 project...A pipe built to fit...NOT a modd'ed KX500 pipe that needs a "cut here" or "an extesion there" plus a hacked up stinger.

NOS_350X has an extremely great reputation on these 3 wheeler sites and I trust him 100%.

Anybody interested...please PM me.

Thanks,

Anybody?? C'mon guys....now's the time to speak up. I know there's several of you out there currently building this monster and are gonna need a pipe. I can tell you right now that a KX500 pipe...no matter who makes it...stock Kawasaki,.FMF,Pro Circuit,PSI,DG.....and a few others that made '86 KX500 pipes....those pipes are gonna take a lot of mods to get them to fit correctly + the mods are going to change the power delivery characteristics quite a bit.

Now's the time to speak up and get a quality pipe built to fit EXACTLY CORRECT. No hacking up the right radiator shroud or clearance issues near the right radiator or K.I.P.S. cover. No hacking up the rear fenders. Anybody interested...PLEASE...PM me.

Ok guys just Bumping the pipe. We have done quite a bit of testing with it. On a McCoy Drag ported 310 we picked up .2 in 300ft. over a FTZ OOF and .5 over a PTR high rev.
On a ESR 370 we lost .2 sec from a Shearer OOF, and gained about a full second over a FMF.

On my 237cc i lost some time, it just didnt fit my porting. The fact is i just dont have enough enigne for it. If your building a BIG fast engine and want to still ride around the dunes easly It is the best option (IMO)

Nos.. I was wondering if the pipes ever made it to testing on the smaller stock size cyls 265cc -310 and how they performed? I'm very interested in this pipe as I'm trying to find the best performing hi revving exhaust for my setup. Also if the project is on hold or no longer going on what pipe would you recommend for drag racing a built 265cc engine on nitrous? Thanks

NOS_350X
10-05-2011, 09:13 PM
Yes very much so, There are a handfull of the pipes out there, Although there isnt a night and day difference, they still perform better than any other option. On the big bores, you compare a PT, ESR or Ct, to my pipe (for drag use) extremely outperforms the others. On a small bore yes it is the best option but not as much.

I no longer have the time to push them and try to sell them, but we still will make them no problem.

Ok well I am definitely interested and if u think I will see gains over say a esr atc5 pipe then I would like to run your pipe. I just want to make sure that being a 265cc will be enough engine to run it. If you think an esr5 would be a better suited pipe then that will be my second choice as I been reading past posts and it sounds like a good hi rpm pipe also. You can pm with details price, lead times and how to get the ball rolling etc. Thanks

Simple solution, My pipe, will drag better than it dunes, Esr will dune better than it drags. Where do you want it ??

Pm me or call me for pricing... 559786EightEIGHTeightSIX

It has to be better than the ESR ATC 5/ATC 5 centermount those pipes suck!!! We just got did some dyno testing yesterday both me and Nate McCoy on my esr 310 and my old nasty looking bills pipe made 4 hp more ad 3 ft lbs of torque over both of the esr pipes we tested. And the shearer oof drag pipe was another 4hp over the bills pipe. This was just slapping pipes on with no jetting changes so theres a lot more in it.The bills pipe or so we were told it was a bills ( dont look like one it is a hand built pipe not stamped like bills) did not have much over rev but did make better all aroun power than the esr. This infame looks interesting I would like to get one looks like a nice pipe.

If your building a big engine this thing is a must recently have had alot of interest in the pipes again and have just sold several more recently.

We have also did this custom dual exhaust system so if you want something different we can do that too.

The other thing i would like to add If you have any custom pipe needs or vintage pipes you would like copied we can probably do it.

This is what Ellocopescado said about it, He is the one that purchased the pipe and is his 330cc bike above
"I bought the pipe through NOS 350X who had his guy make it and it is awesome!!. To me it seemed to make great power throughout the powerband, and amazing power on top! As I said, I could not ever keep the throttle wide open going up Oldsmobile becasue the front was always wanting to come up. Initially I was a little dismayed with the lack of room for your boot when kickstarting (I have a size 13), but once I got the technique down, it was no problem to get it fired on the first or second kick every time."

That is the type of engines this pipe is suited for, The others pipe brands out there will leave alot more potential you wont be tapping into.

We are working with a chrome shop now to get the pipes chromed. I will have an example of this pipe chromed extremely soon. I should also soon be getting more pics of customer bikes.

On an aditional note, You guys that have a big bore engine and need a pipe, but dont want the inframe drag pipe, I think im going to make a Mx/trail pipe for the big bores. Any interest in that?? I already have the Trx pipe for that that i would copy.
