The autoclutch machines like the 250sx had two clutchs in them instead of one.
The first one is the centrifical one. When the engine gets up to speed it engauges. And the second one is your main clutch that is actually runs the tranny.
A manual clutch machine would only have the second one and the clutch lever and cable would control it. That is why if you wanted to convert yours you would need a different side cover that had the clutch slave on it to run the main clutch. And would have to figure a way around the centrifical clutch setup.
But all the autoclutch Hondas all used that same two clutch setup. To keep the operator from having to controll the clutch yourself. Thus the saying AUTOCLUTCH
Good question though. Unless you have been in a tranny on a auto clutch machine you wouldnt know how they were setup. So be nice ATCRYDER :bash: :D
