hi everyone. i have an 84 200x that i currently have torn down to repaint the frame and to repair the engine and trans. the motor knocks and trans pops out of second. i also have a 87 mojave that hasn't been ridin in years. it runs good but smokes a little(burns oil). today it hit me, why not re-ring the kawi and put it in the x. rough measurements seem to show that it will fit with little frame modification. i personally think the mojave motor is powerful for its size and underated because the rest of the quad sucks. i was thinking you could mount the radiator on the forks like a T3. i believe this motor in the x frame would make this a fairly quick little trike. at this point i'm looking for some insight before i go and take the kawi apart.

yes they are. they have alot of the same technoligy of todays 450's. i thought about putting in a xr200 or crf230 but they're kinda of expensive and they dont produce the power of the kawi. my biggest consern is i dont want to hack the frame up.

According to powroll the mojave motor has 25hp stock. That's twice what the x motor has. I plan to pull the kawi motor this weekend to see what it's going to take to make it fit.
