i am thinking about rebuilding my 250r. i have never done this before but i would like to do it myself. i bought the honda service manual and a compleate gasket set.
what do i need to know before i get started?
Is there any thing rong with the eng.
Read through the manual to familiarize you self with the prosedure. if you do not under stand some thing. ask use.
It's better to know a little about what your going to do before you start.

well.. it was running fine but now the eng is seized up and i dont know why. but i cannot get the kickstart to work.
i just thought a good rebuild would do it good. i just posted this to... well i guess to get the most critical things done right. i have been reading alot about pistons and boaring on here l8ly. should i be conserned about the piston or chamber? and basicly if i just get it to all come appart and go back together w/ new gaskets it should work right? i mean how hard is it realy?
First off you should pull the lift case cover and see if the crank will turn in either direction. it may not be that the pistons seized.
If you can find out what is rong than we will know what kind of probs you will have getting it apart and tell you the best why.
