So I recently picked up a 85 ATC70 for my 3 year old, actually got a hell of a deal on it... I traded a spare 200x front tire/wheel/hub and rotor for it.
So it was missing: the tank, recoil and cage, front sprocket and retainer.
Had a trashed exhaust, seat was plywood with a vinyl wrap, throttle was beat and 2 tires were shot.
I have never been real fond of the seat and tank look of the 70's any way.
So, Its getting a XR80 tank and seat. White tank,and blue seat makes for a sweet look and are much less expensive than the ATC70 seat and tank.
4 inch frame stretch makes it fit great.
Headlight from a 200M looks great with simple mount fabbed for it.
Stock thumb throttle from a 450R looks great on the bars and functions great too.
200X switch cluster solves the kill that was on the 70 throttle as well as the headlight.
Got a universal brake light switch going inside the frame at the rear by the brake.
New cable for a 85ATC110 took care of the longer brake cable.
Down the road its getting a complete late model XR70 flywheel and full cdi setup.
As well as a SL 70 Intake and an XR 80 carb and a late model XR70 topend (bigger valves and higher compression) and I will be modding a 2 Bros CRF70 exhaust to fit.
I will post the before as well as during pics within the next day or so but even just mocked up it looks badass to me..... Macgyver76
