These 450 trike conversions are becoming very popular, so was wondering if anyone has done a trike con on the new Honda trx700 w/irs?? Or if this would even be possible? What your thoughts are on how it may ride so on and so on.

Anything is possible, but most will agree that IRS has no business on a trike.. All of a trikes stabilty is derived from the solid axle.

My only problem with everyone building these monster trikes are, most cant even handle a nicely modded factory CC trike. I guess its different for the duning around but in woods, more HP/motor is just deadly and too heavy to deal with. But I must say, its killer to see the skills within this community.

You're correct. Duning/Desert and Woods riding aren't similar at all. The HP going on in some of these Cali bikes is crazy, and the rider skill is off the charts. Dovesprings, Mr Kasey, NOS350X, Dammit, Vegas, 3Razors and Wheelz, are the guys I've been riding with out here, and they all do damn well with far more than the stock amount of HP.

Just wondering, e-outloud, what's to keep the government out of this building up trikes thing. They banned their sale before, I'm wondering if the original ban covers the selling of kits to convert..... HMMMMMM

The original Consent Decree (Ban) was only for 10 years - but those sneaky pricks at the CPSC snuck a provision in the lead paint act of 2008 (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) stating no more trikes can be produced and or imported to the USA. Also - this CPSIA is waht lead to the demise of ATVs and dirtbikes made for children under 12. Apparently it is safer to put a 5 year old on a 200CC machine than it is to let them suck on lead battery terminals!
